For this Valentines day this year, get married on the Web. While the Web site quickly disclaims, "I Thee Web is NOT a legally binding wedding" this site can be fun and romantic for you, your love and a few "wedding guests." At I Thee Web, in three easy steps, you can "1. Pop the Question, 2. Wait for a Reply 3. Get Thee Hitched." When you propose you select the date, time and wedding song to be played. Additionally, you invite three wedding guests. A very fancy proposal with all the details is e-mailed to your love and he or she can either accept the proposal or send back "Gross, no." If accepted, your new fiancée or fiancé can invite three guests, as well. The two of you show up at the Web site on time and enter your e-mail addresses as confirmation. Only then can the wedding begin. While wedding guests get full privileges at the wedding, anyone can crash it, but won't be noted on the register. After vows are read for each and automatic response of "I DO" is entered (so there is no chance of you getting cold feet), you are then pronounced married. According to the site, "You may [then] click the bride." After the reception, the bride and groom get e-mailed a very nice marriage license "suitable for framing." If you are not sure the two of you are compatible, there is only one way to find out, The Love Calculator. Skeptics (or those getting a low score) may scoff at the results from this highly-scientific formula that uses nothing more than the full names of those in love and generates a prognosis. Don't worry, if you don't like the response you get, try using any shortened names like Ken instead of Kenneth and see what works best. Once you determined you are compatible, let Cyrano Server help you send the perfect love letter or Valentine. On this site you enter in prompted responses and get a custom-generated letter. You can easily select graphics and a sound to be added to the final product and then e-mail it off. On the down side, if things don't work out well, you can also have Cyrano Server create a "Break Up" letter. For an excellent site on everything related to kissing and romance, visit TheKiss.Com. At TheKiss.Com you can see an animated demonstration of "The Kissing Machine" (there really is such a device and it can be ordered online) or see photos from the television demonstration of it. You can also print out Kiss coupons or door hangers, read the Kissing Tip of the Day, send a "pre-puckered" or customized kiss to someone from the E-kissing Booth or visit any site on their love-related E-kissed links. To find out who your perfect date would be, visit Valentine.Com and "Build-A-Date." Some silly combinations of famous athletes and movie stars are presented along with brief biographies of your dream date. One of my favorite areas of Valentine.Com is where you can put your Valentine "in the News" with fake headline stories that look authentic and can be printed out or e-mailed to them. Other areas include stories of romance, personal ads and Valentine.Com chat area. To make Valentines Day special or for romance on any other day of the year, visit the love sites of the Word Wide Web. |
