Promo: Banking has never been easier and you can do it all through the Internet. Find out how, next. Want a better way to bank? Try online banking and get full-service banking from your home or office. For this demonstration, I chose Wells Fargo online, one of the first and best examples of full service banking through the Internet. To start, select "sign on." Enter your social security number and chosen password and browse your account summaries. You will notice that your social security number is linked to all your accounts at this bank whether they be checking, savings or even banking MasterCard. To see the account history of any of these accounts, click on the balance. Like a normal billing statement, you can see when checks have cleared, note ATM deposits or withdrawals or confirm transfers between accounts. Since all your accounts are linked together, you can transfer funds from one account, like checking, to another, such as your bank credit card. If you don't like writing and mailing bill payments each month, why not pay them online? Select the bills you want to pay and click the "pay bills" button. Wells Fargo remembers the bills you paid online before. You can now alter the amounts, dates or frequency of payment, like "one time" or "monthly," and click "schedule" and your done. Don't worry, you can change or delete any payment anytime before 7 P.M. the day prior to the due date and the bank will even print and mail the checks to places that can't be deposited directly into. If the thought of your money being available online scares you, consider that your liability against fraud is limited to only $50, the same as your ATM or credit card and due to encryption of your information, the thief would have to correctly guess a 313 digit number to steal any money. Finally, you can even order travelers cheques, cashier's checks or foreign currency, or ask anything about your account via online forms. So if you are ready to start managing your hard-earned money better, try full-service banking-online. From age 6 to 96 and beyond, there is something on the Internet for everyone.
