With all the Web sites out there, picking a single best may seem difficult at first, but once you have explored Yahoo! you see why it is my top recommended site.

Yahoo! can be found at www.yahoo.com.

Yahoo! gained initial popularity with its easy-to-use subject index and search engine. You can select categories and sub categories until you find the topic you want or you can just search for the specific information and have it show all occurrences. Either way, Yahoo! can get you there.

But Yahoo! is much more than a search engine. You can also find businesses through the Yellow Pages. Try entering the city and state and then selecting the categories.

Once you have found what you want, you can then either get driving directions to that location or view a customized map of the area.

To find a person instead of a business, check the white pages. Look up either the e-mail address or street address.

Yahoo! has great news coverage. Whether you need business, sports, entertainment or technology news, they are all covered in this one area and without a lot of slow graphics If you want to know the weather, you can get a regional weather outlook, a 5-day forecast or a satellite image from Yahoo!

Finally, there is no better place for all your financial information than at Yahoo! Stocks.

Check how the local market trade is doing or select world markets and find out the global picture. You can also keep your personal portfolio online to track how you are doing. See the last trade, value of the portfolio and how much you have gained or lost every 15 minutes.

So, to start 1998 off right, get a computer, get on the Internet and get on Yahoo!
